#100poems Thirty Eight: Goldleafed Giggle

It slipped past her silver spoon
Past ruby lips
Exploded in a shower of diamonds.

But when I smiled, and picked one off the ground to treasure

She scowled at me and then
I saw her eyes of flint
Flash hateful fire.
